You Have a Marketing Strategy. Now How Do You Implement It?

Not sure where to start? It may seem overwhelming, but all you have to do is look at your marketing strategy. In developing your marketing strategy, you considered your target audience, goals for the year, specific marketing tactics, and your budget for the year. So, look no further! The blueprint for your implementing your marketing strategy is all right there. Let’s get started!

  1. Review your budget.

Everything that happens from this point forward should be in consideration of your marketing budget. I find the most effective way is to divide your budget into quarters, that way you will ensure your marketing efforts are spread over the course of the year.

  1. Keep your goals in mind.

List each goal and ways that you can implement your marketing strategy in an effort to achieve them. Again, keeping these goals quarterly is a good idea – and will keep you from feeling overwhelmed by taking it all on at once.

  1. Go to where your customers are.

In defining your marketing strategy, considerations were made for who your current and potential clients are and where they are likely to be found, in terms of social media or advertising campaigns. Consider the strategies required of each platform. For example, should you focus on social media, such as Facebook or twitter? Or is print advertising a better option, whether it is direct advertising, articles, or blogs?

  1. Implement your marketing strategy.

Now that you know your budget, goals, and where & how to implement your marketing strategy, all you have to do is get started! Remember to keep your goals in sight and to break down your strategy into manageable pieces. Still feeling a little lost?
